Kraken xStocks vs Binance bStocks

How two tokenized-stock products compare on issuer, backing, regulation, custody and availability.

Kraken xStocks and Binance bStocks are both tokenized stocks — you hold a token, not a registered share — but they differ on who issues them, how they are regulated, and where they settle. Here is the side-by-side.

The verdict

Both give you a 1:1-backed token rather than a real share, so the choice comes down to issuer, chain and mechanics. Kraken xStocks (Backed Finance, Switzerland) is the volume leader, is also listed on Bybit, and passes dividends through by rebasing the token balance. Binance bStocks are ADGM-regulated Certificates from BTech Holdings on BNB Smart Chain that reinvest dividends via an on-chain multiplier and convert 1:1 into the actual share on Binance at no fee.

That convertibility is the sharpest practical difference: with bStocks you can step out of the token and into the share itself. With xStocks you redeem through the issuer or sell for cash.

If you want actual share ownership with cash dividends from Binance, that is a different product — Binance Stocks — not bStocks.
